Re: I need basic help with MAME - NES - Genesis, thank you.

Should I drag the whole folder that has the games, or the particular game that I want to play? Yes, when you do it this way, you need to 'drag' the exact game you want to play. If you want to play another, you can just drag another game. Also: Perhaps you are better off with a (easy, limited) GUI s...

Hi,

Sorry I cannot help you, but others might be (better able to), if you could tell what the exact Sega Genesis game is that you are trying to get to work.

Re: VBLANK and interrupt? (debugging my own code for Pac-Man HW)

I'm glad it works and helped. But I'm afraid that's about the only help I can offer on this subject. All this stuff is really waayy over my head I'm afraid. One final note from me (and then I'll crawl back under my rock): There used to be this website "Let's Hack Arcade Games" (letshackarc...

Re: VBLANK and interrupt? (debugging my own code for Pac-Man HW)

I made this video using -aviwrite switch, is there maybe a switch to change the rendering resolution of the output video? Although I haven't verified this myself, the documentation states that you can use "-snapsize <width>x<height>" on the commandline or in your mame.ini to change the si...

My 'mame.ini' has a 'volume' setting, which is set to '0'. I haven't tested it, but I assume you can set it to the desired value there ?

Re: mamehooker and mame 0.185

Hi. Since this essentially appears to be a question about 'MAME Hooker' (I never heard of it, had to google), you may have better luck getting your questions answered by contacting the author instead.

Re: MAME technical problem crash on launch with -video d3d

For what it's worth: I cannot reproduce this issue with Mame 0.185 on Windows 10 Home x64. But since you state that (older versions of) Mame were working fine before but not anymore, I suspect something may be wrong with your system/setup. The only thing I can think of that might give some insight i...

Re: Please help a MAME newbie

I'm not sure if I can be of any help, but here's a try : 1. If the games (using latest official Mame) play correctly with the mouse/keyboard on your computer, but not all of them with your XBOX One controller, then this may be an issue with the controller, and it may be a bug in Mame. You could cons...

Re: NES Classic Edition

well, excuse me for asking a simple question. There was no need to be a worthless coward about it.... I don't think there is any need for name-calling here. The answer is correct: You can only expect the 'official mame' developers to support their latest official release on the supported platforms ...

Re: NES Classic Edition

Please forgive me my ignorance, but that doesn't really sound like an 'official mame' release number to me. Is that a Mame derivative (and if so, which one), possibly based on official Mame 0.36/0.37 (which were released in 2000) ?
