I know feature requests doesn't sound right on an Open Source project (because it invites "friendly" replies like "do it yourself if you want it so much"), maybe "wishlist" is a better word.
Maybe the forum needs a sticky thread like that?
It could give feedback to the dev team what is more interesting for the public.
Or feedback back to the users if something is indeed already under consideration.
Right now such "requests", are getting in mametesters (where it doesn't fit logically) or open as github issues adding only clutter.

I'm not a huge fan of one sticky thread with bunches of requests that are of completely different subjects. I would suggest however to make such threads here and simply tag them in the subject line [Feature Request] so discussion, ideas, and feedback can stay organized in their own threads.
