Mame 64 .197 Killer Instinct Selecting Different Revisions Help

I need a bit of help. I've been trying to select a different version of Killer Instinct to check something, but I can't seem to start any version other than 1.5d. I've tried all different revisions, but they still show up as (and behave like)1.5 when checking the service menu. I've tried setting from the machine configuration menu, tried from bios selection ingame, even copied mame exe and the roms to a different folder and still only get 1.5. I haven't tried from command line yet, simply because I don't know\remember the command to select specific bios. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm asking here to see if it's just me or anyone else has the same issue.

Thank you for the notification. It was baffling me as to what I was doing wrong, but didn't think it could've been an actual bug/oversight. I'll compile a git and test when I have time and more hd space.
