Upgraded to mame 0.175 from .0141 now i cant play certain roms please help

hello im new to this mame forum thing.. So i recently upgraded my mame from 141 to 175... Now on mame 175 im really confused with all the non working link.. Everytime i click on something it says missing rom or something like that.. But whats really fustrating is i copied all my previos rom files to the new rom folder and most work well but my playchoice games wont work or my neo geo games wont work either.. Im so lost on what i have to do to fix this... Should i just stay with 141 mame version... Please help
