Re: Mame Plugins

Is there any documentation that explains about these plugins? I'm interested in what the "console" plugin may do.

Re: put bios in folder <> rom

I prefer to keep the bios folder separate from my roms. I've added a "bios" folder within and then used Mame's GUI to add this folder under roms. If possible, I would like these bios files to be used without appearing in Mame's GUI.

Re: [0.216] Black Tiger Issue

Well, it is comforting to know it works with baseline, but I have no idea why or what would cause a Ubuntu built binary release to not function properly. It is entirely possible the save state got corrupted along the way or that you original saved with 0.215 or earlier and enough changed during Dev...

Re: [0.216] Black Tiger Issue

Tested on Windows 10 and working as expected. Do I still need to log this at Mame Testers or the person that compiles for Ubuntu?

Re: [0.216] Black Tiger Issue

You have to be able to duplicate it with the same version, with a fresh save state. If that save state was used with another version - even a Git WIP binary build, such fitness isn't guaranteed. That said, I tried a couple tests with blktiger set using -autosave. I tried booting to title, exiting a...

[0.216] Black Tiger Issue

Hi All

If save states is enabled, I am unable to insert any coins. Renaming or deleting the saved states corrects this issues but re-occurs when the game is next loaded. Is this re-producible for anyone else? If so, where is the best place to file this bug.

[0.216] Mame on Fedora 31

Hi All

Are there any users here running Mame on Fedora. I'm running Fedora 31 with Mame 0.216 but unable to get the GUI's mouse to appear. Anyone else seeing (or not) this? I am running Fedora under Boxes should that make any difference.

Re: Mame Plugins

Data plugin enables the display of history.dat, mameinfo.dat and so on. Thanks for confirming the above. Hopefully someone can explain highscores for you. I have since found this folder (hi) outside of Mame, within my home folder. Each game is saved as <romname>.hi . If possible, I would like to ch...

Mame Plugins

Hi All

Could someone please explain how Plugins work in Mame? I have enabled "Hiscore support" and noticed that "Data plugin" is already enabled. What does Data plugin do? Are high scores now saved in a different folder/file?

Re: Mame GUI Image Resolution

Ah, then MAME is probably looking in the zipfile for the rom and not finding the jpg. It's better if you make a new folder just for the images, and tell MAME what you've done. I'll give that a try. I was keeping the images in the roms folder as it was easier to see if any were missing but I guess I...
