Megaplay resolution question

Just a small question. I was attempting to test a crt filter in mp_sonic when I noticed the game was outputing at 1280x224. Is that correct, because it seems a little odd. I'm using the current mame, which should be 0.231.

Re: MAME 64 .215 BGFX Video Sliders Question

@Robert I'm not really to comfortable with making bug reports unless I'm certain it's not just me experiencing it. An update, I tried getting rid of old ini files pertaining to the games I used bgfx for to see if that had any affect, and as soon as I tried adjust said sliders, the emulator crashed a...

MAME 64 .215 BGFX Video Sliders Question

UPDATE: I completely forgot to come here and report that the issue is now mostly fixed since the update. Only default values seem to be busted, but that could just be an issue I caused by my tinkering. Editing only the OP rather than making a new post because I don't want to bump this topic. Old pos...

Re: MOTW Terry's 3rd stage

It's possible it's not wait states after some reading of the mametesters page for the bug. It looks like a pretty odd bug that happens on some systems at certain settings, but not others. It's probably not being worked on because of other priorities that's preventing them from looking more into this.

Re: MOTW Terry's 3rd stage

It would probably be fixed when waitstates get emulated, which would likely be not anytime soon to never... afaik.

Re: MAME display issue

1. Have you checked to see if the issue persists without the front end? Are you using the official builds: http://mamedev.org/release.html

2. Does the issue show up in fullscreen mode? Have you adjusted the horizontal stretch in the sliders menu?

Re: Removed ROMs

You sure they weren't just renamed? I mean there appears to be several revisions of the 2 player version of Sunset Riders.

Mystic Warriors, on the other hand, has a dipswitch setting that allows you to select between 2 or 4 players.

Re: NEOGEO driver frequency

They are not going to do that because that is not what those games were programmed for or how they're meant to be displayed in. If you want a smoother display, you have your choice of triple buffer, sync refresh, or wait vert sync. There's also something called g-sync with nvidia cards that should a...

Re: NEOGEO driver frequency

Those games used monitors back in the day that were capable of those frequencies. Anyways, several games that say 60hz aren't actually 60hz iirc, and I think I heard monitors these days aren't really 60hz as well using a refresh rate that just gets rounded up to 60.

Killer Instinct discussion

I'd rather discuss on here an oddity I've noticed in mame when compared to some pcb videos I've seen on youtube. It's a small oddity, so I'm not making a bug report of it since I'm not too sure of the cause. In the emulation, when knocking people off Orchid's stage, the fall sequence itself is never...
