I don't know the answer to that, but if you store your images in a .7z file they will take longer to appear. Try saving the images in a .zip file instead. I don't think adding images to a zip file will help in my setup as I save these images within the same folder as my roms (both using the same na...
Hi All Bit of a random question this but hopefully, somebody may know the answer. I'm trying to find out the "ideal" resolution for images shown in the right hand column of Mame's GUI. I'm currently displaying flyers in the "Images" tab under "Snapshots". It seems that ...
Problem solved . In fact, the actual roms (games) were all incorrect (wrong size). Once I got the proper BIOS (thanks to verifyroms), renamed the actual files within the zips, I was able to identify the actual problem. Thanks for your advice Klez.
Hi Klez From your explaination, I think I may have misunderstood how save states work with consoles. Within the Mame GUI (for arcade games), I had enabled "Automatic save/restore" under State/Playback Options (Advanced Options). I assumed that each Atari 2600 game saved it's own state too....
Hi Klez I can confirm that I have a lynx.zip file including lynx.bin and lynxa.bin, both 512kb in size. This file (lynx.zip) has been added to my BIOS folder (which has been added to ROMs). From the bios's downloaded, I'm getting different md5sum values and verifyroms points to lynx.bin as being the...
Hi Klez Thank you for the detailed yet easy to understand explaination :). The console in question (that I can remember) was the Atari 2600. The driver states that save states are enabled and the gui displays this, yet it doesn't fully restore the state. For example, if you load Berzek, play for a l...
Hi All I'm having difficulties getting the Atari Lynx to work with Mame. I've downloaded countless number of Lynx BIOS's and unable to load any game :(. I'm sure the BIOS's are at fault as the CRC's don't match although the games are playable from the file manager. My question is, has anybody been a...
There nothing missing. New mame versions does't read neogeo bios. Same bios file, in 0.190, works corectly Hi KLV Occasionally, newer files are added to rom/bios files. This may change between versions of Mame. If 0.205 is reporting missing files, these files will need to be added to your neogeo.zi...
In addition to the above post, is there any references on the web as to which consoles are able to use save states successfully. Also, which consoles requiring additional files (lynx, gameboy, etc) and others that don't (atari 2600, etc).
Hi All Having save states enabled for console roms (i.e Atari 2600) doesn't seem to work properly when switching between different games (games don't load). Am I missing a setting somewhere or is this a bug? The only way I can get each 2600 game to load is by disabling save states. If this is how it...
