Re: [0.176] Hiding Clone Roms

Hi Tafoid Sorry, I don't fully understand your reply. I don't have any clones in my roms folder, only parents. From my understanding, "All" should display everything. "Available" should only display what is displayed in my roms folder (this could possibly display clones of that p...

[0.176] Loading console roms

Hi Could someone please advise the structure of setting up other consoles within Mame? For example, I am using Todd's Adventures in Slime World for the Atari Lynx. As I own this cartridge, I assume "legally" it is ok to download this rom (inc. others that I have purchased). I have put this...

[0.176] Hiding Clone Roms

Hi

Is there a way to show only parent roms by hiding clones within the Mame GUI?

Also, is it possible to just show the roms you have? I would have thought the "Available" filter would have done this. Currently, I'm having to add each one as a favorite.

Re: Updating Mame on each release

Hi cps1fe

I'm not sure what you mean by "new drivers"? Would unzipping the contents of each new release over the exisiting keep my current setup?

Re: [0.176] Listing roms alphabetically

Hi B2K24

Thanks for the link but I would like to see this option available within Mame itself. Just a simple right-click and sort by "A-Z" would do the trick.

[0.176] Listing roms alphabetically

Hi

Is it possible to list roms alphabetically as it appears they are ordered by the date they are copied into the roms folder.

Re: [0.176] Default Image within GUI

Hi B2K24

Yes, that probably would work with the change of path being made in mame.ini (I haven't tried this though). As I am only using flyers (to decorate the GUI), I ended up moving all my flyers into the "snap" folder.

Re: [0.176] Default Image within GUI

Ok, thanks. I guess if it can't be changed, I'll switch over to snapshots. A shame as the flyers look nice within the GUI.

Re: Updating Mame on each release

Hi Tafoid

Thanks for your reply. So you reckon just unzipping the latest build over the existing should do the trick? i just wanted to make sure that no "template" (basic structure) type ini or cfg files would overwrite any modifications that I may have made.

Updating Mame on each release

Hi

What is the preferred method of updating Mame on each release? I would like to preserve current configurations (i.e remapped buttons, hiscores, etc). Is it just a case of copying over the new executable?

:)
