Re: The selected machine is missing one or more ROM

This is intended design as command line is meant to be much more flexible then launching through the UI.

Re: Problem with Vsync and Triple Buffering

The best solution is G-Sync or FreeSync hardware paired up with an appropriate video card.

Re: New to MAME, need some help.

If you're using baseline MAME that you can obtain from the Downloads on this site then it's very simple to have the game listing only show what you have locally. It's as simple as opening mame64.exe and left clicking on Available which will then change the game listing to only selections that you ha...

Re: Help w/ 'Emulator PC'...

MAME itself has support for Nintendo NES and Atari 2600 so you can definitely mention those here. They can work with MAME via softlist loading rather easily. See a2600.xml and nes.xml located in the hash folder for more information. The most compact option would be a mini PC but it can also be the m...

Re: MAME 0.181 7zip self-extractables files don't run - Win10 x64

Try to right click mame0181b_64bit.exe, choose 7-zip, and select open archive. From there you can do a number of things from using the extract option or manually having everything selected and dragging it where you want.

No problems at all using Win10 X64 as well.

Re: CD-I emulation cutscene Issues (MESS)

Issues with CD-I emulation using MAME are known. The last person who did major work on the driver suggests using CD-i Emulator if an image doesn't work using MAME.

Re: MAME 0.180 64-bit - Win Pro 10 64 - Mame wont load

Understanding all the options that are in mame.ini is a powerful resource. You can quickly change different options rather easily and then you can see what MAME does with those changes. Keep in mind there's different video modes you can use as well (gdi, d3d, opengl, bgfx) I myself have a decent GFX...

Re: Old version of MAME in Linux Mint

I highly suggest using the latest version as possible. MAME 0.180 was released just a few weeks ago.
