Super Hang On Controls issues

I'm having some troubles configuring the analog controls for Super Hang On. The only way I can play it is setting the P1 Pedal 2 Analog input to Joy 1 LSY (Up/Down), but if I do so, on the selection screen when it asks me to use the brake for selection, it seems the controls are wrong or reversed cause I have to push the analog stick up (Gas) for that. Also setting the P1 Pedal 1 Analog to another axis or stick doesn't help. I don't know if it's a Game or MAME bug ? (or most likely, I'm too dumb to figure it out :) )

Not sure what" Joy 1 LSY" is, but the "P1 Pedal 2 Analog" = Brake, "P1 Pedal 1 Analog" = Gas, and "Paddle Analog" is your steering. If behavior is reverse to what you'd expect, simply goto "Analog Controls" and find the appropriate "Reverse" and turn that selection on. You can also adjust centering speeds and other speeds to allow better play ability.

Thanks for the answer ;)
Ok. I use a Xbox 360 controller. It has 2 analog thumb sticks. Joy 1 LSY is the Y axis (UP/DOWN) for the left thumb stick and Joy 1 RSY is the Y axis (UP/DOWN) for the right thumb stick .
You can assign the P1 Pedal 1 Analog to wathever stick you want: it does nothing ! Both Gas and Brake controlls are assigned to the P1 Pedal 2 Analog and it's the only way you can actually play the Game.
The problem is that in the selection menu you are supossed to use the brake for choosing the different options but you actually have to use the Gas control instead.
Furthermore, ingame, if you don't accelerate, the brake light goes automatically on and the bike stops by itself.
You can reverse he controls and set the sensivity, deadzone etc.. as much as you want: It doesn't change anything.
I don't know if I'm explaining myself well.
