MAME 193 and 194 close

When I click on a game to play. the screen goes blank and comes up with a message saying MAME is shutting down, get back with you about error.
Given the versions, I'm going to take a guess.. You are attempting to run on a machine which does not have a CPU with SSE2 capabilities?
In any case, what is your machine CPU/OS and have you added to changed hardware in the past couple months? Does 0.192 work ok?
