Yes, I can confirm. As far as I can tell, it isn't a regression and have been like that all the time.
To clarify, this is "f1 - F1 (Euro)" I'm noting the behavior on.
The other "F1 - World Championship Edition" carts (f1wc, f1wcp, f1wcu) all seem to play fine as an alternative.
