Artwork in MAME

Hi.
Is there a good step by step guide for getting the artwork set up in MAME. I can't seem to figure out how to see a snap of the game in the image area, and also getting the bezel art going. I'm on 0.203 . I have searched here, looked on the net and Youtube for days with no luck. I can get snaps working with front end software but I'd rather keep the snappiness from launching directly from MAME.
Bezels have been a hard one for me. Videos I have seen don't really show which files to drag over and mention cofig files I don't see. Tons of info on how to tweak the screen one you get to this point.
Any help woud be appreciated. Thanks.
