Creating a packaged distribution

Hello all,

I've been searching for some kind of instructions on how to do this, but haven't found any yet. Perhaps I'm not using good search terms.

I'm looking to create a ZIP file distribution for MAME that I've compiled for Raspberry Pi. I can do this manually by copying over the same folders that are in the standard Windows/Mac distribution ZIPs. I would like to know if there is an existing script or Make command that will do this automatically.
