I'm new in the mame world, and I would like to know how to understand and use mame sorce code.
I have an strange project, I'm developing with EDA tool a board into I'd like to port a mame, but for now I cannot understand the source code of mame.
Few years ago I red that the mame sorce code is made by layers, and only the lower level layer depending by the platform, Instead the highter levels are the same for every platform porting.
Sombody Can help me to understand that code, and how to port mame in my board-platform.
