Slam Dunk: Super Slams

This MAME basketball game by Banpresto has an incredibly racist continue screen. Arcade-museum.com says it was a Japan-only release, which makes sense, because no one seeing that screen in America in 1995 would not have noticed how offensive it was. However, there is a dipswitch to change between World and Japan, so maybe they considered releasing it outside of Japan but were rejected. Also, I believe the Japanese guy screaming in the background during a game doesn't say anything when World region is selected. Anyone know if racist content was a regular component of Banpresto games? They released Slam Dunk games on several consoles. Also, supposedly the working title was 3 on 3 Dunk Madness before they licensed the Slam Dunk title from the manga (Basketball manga? Only in Japan), but Mame has a prototype called 3 on 3 Dunk Madness which was released by Video System Co. It does look and play similarly to Super Slams, so there might be a story behind how it ended up at a different company.
