How to stop MAME from scrolling to the top of the game list when window loses focus?

I cannot duplicate the behavior in quick testing.
If I had to guess, you may have some analog input mapped to UI movement that isn't centered but it slightly drifting enough to cause the list to scroll up. You could try to increase your deadzone in settings: CONFIGURE OPTIONS > ADVANCED OPTIONS > JOYSTICK DEADZONE and adjust this value up a bit to see if it still happens. No immediate ideas beyond that.
Perhaps someone else might be able to duplicate or has other suggestions.
