This is vague. Can you give a specific example?
A quick grep of the source for the label used in the default mapping shows pretty much only Chess Machine emulations using this.
Default key mapping for MAME needs to be as general as possible. It is virtually impossible with all the known input types, configurations, and over 38,000 machines that MAME can avoid conflicts or keys which may have more than one function. If you come across such instances, we'd suggest you remap one to a key of your choosing and MAME is pretty flexible in that way.
