Tiger 1990 LCD Aladdin handheld game

Hello,

I have a Tiger 1990 LCD Aladdin handheld game. I would like to be able to play it, but there is an old battery stuck in it.

I was wondering if it is possible to play it via MAME?
I am new to this - is this something I can do, or do I need to send the device to someone?

It looks the same as this: https://www.handheldmuseum.com/Tiger/Aladdin.htm

Photos of the device attached.
Thanks

Re: Tiger 1990 LCD Aladdin handheld game

MAME does emulate some handheld LCD games, but I am not sure if this specific one is already emulated (or even dumped!).

To play the real one, though, you'll likely have to desolder the black wire from the battery connector, then remove the stuck battery (yeah, it may be a bit of a challenge to do so) and then pu new batteries and solder the black wire back (ideally to a new metallic contact for the battery slot).

Hopefully your unit is still in good shape ;-)
