I can't do anything with screen curvature or vector like I could on my last computer. It says I need PS3.0...whatever that is. I've installed directx9 several times and nothing happens.

I can only think it might be a video driver issue with your new video card on your new computer - or your card cannot handle Pixel Shader 3.0 (required for HLSL via DirectX). You could alternatively attempt to use -video bgfx effects which many have adapted to using over DX9.0c/HLSL.

I'll try BGFX. is that like HLSL ? Don't know why I'm having so much trouble on this new computer. It's less than a year old, where the computer that MAME works properly on is probably close to 15 years old. Oh, well.
