Light gun configuration

Is there a way to configure the light gun for all machines instead of each individual machine?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I go to configure options, not configure machine.

I have my mouse working just fine for light gun control but I only have 1 mouse. I have a gamepad which I was able to set up to move the target cursor but the second player still shoots to the top left. I forgot how to configure gun targeting. Is there a configuration option?

You should be able to choose to map any controller your operating system detects using the TAB menu (hit TAB while emulation is running by default). Use
Input (this Machine and reconfigure as desired.
