Hi I recently found some ROMs compatible with the latest version of MAME and when I try to run them, I get this error message (see below)), anyway to get around this?

The error is: unzip: roms\(ROMNAME).zip couldn't find ECD in last 64kb, this happens with certain games.

MAME is telling you that the zip file you have is corrupt (not a valid zip file, data missing at the end)

This is not a problem with MAME.

The roms I download were .7z, I tried to rename them as .zip

Current MAME can handle .7z archives just fine and renaming to .zip is sure to cause errors because your new filename is not actually a ZIP file. Rename to .7z and let MAME detect things properly.
