GLSL not working in Fedora 39

Hi, I am running MAME 0.263 using the Flatpak from the Software store in Fedora 39.
CPU: AMD Ryzen™ 5 4500U with Radeon™ Graphics × 6.

When I enable GLSL it does not work.

I tried experimenting with different video modes but it didn't make a difference.

I am wondering if anyone would know why this might be?

Re: GLSL not working in Fedora 39

Just to add:

I have followed the intructions here: https://docs.mamedev.org/advanced/glsl.html

I have copied the CRT GLSL shaders from Retroarch to a folder with the MAME config

I referenced the shader in the mame.ini
glsl_shader_mame0 /home/user/.mame/retroarch117-crt-shaders/mame_hlsl.glslp
glsl_shader_screen0 /home/user/.mame/retroarch117-crt-shaders/mame_hlsl.glslp

In the documentation it mentions pressing tilde ~ to bring up on-screen display options, but unfortunately this does not work for me.
