I noticed this specific bug long time ago with 4/3 Mr.Do bezel but I decided to post it here today for 2 reasons : I am registered here now, and I have made a new artwork for this rom.
The issue is related with Start Out Maximized ON function in GENERAL>VIDEO mame menu in windows mode.
- if no artwork is present in MAME\ARTWORK then Start Out Maximized works, no problem.
- if any artwork is present (3on3dunk.zip), I tried both mr. Do 4-3 and mine 16-9, the window acts like Start Out Maximized is OFF whatever you set ON or OFF. The subtil detail is that when you change the option in menu from ON to OFF then ON : it will work for the 1st time but if you close mame then re-run mame and launch the rom, then it is broken again. It acts like settings is not saved permanently after mame reboot.
The best is to try and check by yourself with my artwork here, download 3on3dunk.zip and put it in mame\artwork, then you need to set 2 options in mame menu GENERAL>VIDEO
- Window mode ON
- Start Out Maximized ON

I hope a mame dev will see this post and try to take a look at this issue. So far this is the obly rom with such issue.
