VEC Infinity 3 USB Footpedal not recognized..

Hello my dear emulation-fans,
I have a little problem to get my Infinty footpedal to work with mame. In Windows 10 it works with the little programs pedalware and also with biped. I am able so set different keyboard bindings on the three pedals. In the mame option screen I can see it still working, because by pressing a pedal, a letter I bind to one of the pedals is shown in the "search for game.." area. However, if I try to bind a key for a special game, there is no reaction to a pressed pedal. Even if I try to use a program like AHK to set it up on launch..
My question is: Is the Infinity pedal supported by mame or do I need a special option ticked in mame to recognize it? Or is it not supported??
