Hello. Perhaps - instead of asking about it here - you could just try to use a joystick or keyboard to record inp, and see if it works ?

.inp files (-record xxxx.inp) for a game captures any inputs from when you run a machine so when you restart, you can use (-playback xxxx.inp) to recreate your last session. With a few caveats, such as making sure that all your settings are default in game as well as a clean/unused nvram are essential in many instances to allow this to work.
