I like arcade games from the beginning until the year 2000 and I'm looking for a fullset of roms with all the games from that date and with roms good dumps without bugs and minimum HDD space, which fullset do you recommend? all games from the beginning (the 70s I think) until the year 2000

As far as I know, there is no such thing. There is no pre-made 'full list' sub-selection of what you are looking for: romsets of arcade games only, only from a specific time period (1970-2000), and only for the games/machines that are fully working (for the latest mame version).

Please get the latest mame version (0.259 as-of-writing) from here: https://www.mamedev.org/ , and then manually select/get the roms you are looking for that are meant for that latest mame version.

You mean what 'front-end' is best ? Well, everyone has their own favorite, but even mame's own build-in interface is just fine.

"CHD's" are only needed for some games. Check which specific games you like, and if they need a CHD.

You can use this website to search for specific machines/games, like arcade-only, the year/range they were released, if they do/dont need a CHD, and if they are working in the latest mame release. Perhaps that will help you find games that you might be interested in, and get those.
