I am running mame on a CRT 640x480, and when I go into the options to key map, and click on player 2 3 or 4, the options menu pops up at the very bottom of the screen where you cannot change anything. It is always the second menu you go into it does this behavior.... I have noticed if you click into the menu fast enough after starting the game the sooner you can click it the menu will appear as normal, but if you delay then it will be at the very bottom of the screen where you cannot see it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try start MAMEUI and config yours controls if the menu is correct.
After copy the default.cfg from MAMEUI cfg folder in MAME cfg folder.
This is a try.
