MAME Controller Specific Support?

Hi Everyone.

I have a quick question. Can MAME properly emulate the controls for the old arcade baseball game known as Strike Zone? Strike Zone used a spring loaded analog stick (I saw it called a kicker stick) to swing the bat and to throw and aim a pitch. I loved that game back in the arcades and would love to play it again with accurate controls as the original game had. Before I go trying to build or purchase (if one exists) a controller that has this analog (kicker) stick I figured I'd better find out if MAME can actually emulate this type of control mechanism.

If anyone has any info, I'd appreciate it if you can let me know.

John.

PS: I attached an image of the arcade game to show what the original controls looked like.

Re: MAME Controller Specific Support?

Hi.

This site sees very little traffic. I personally feel you might be better off posting about this over her :

https://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/p ... d=hardware

In the 'Hardware' forum (or maybe even the 'EmuChat' one, both don't post the same thing to both).

Of course, no guarantees that you will see any/better responses over there than here, but it might be worth a try.
