Hi folks
I have been working on repairing an Jaleco Arm Champs 2 for some months now, almost a year actually. I am wondering if MAME could be used to try and re-create the failure mode I am getting (which is with the graphics) in order to help me narrow down which chip on the board is at fault. Could anyone out there give me some advice on this?

I have dumped all the eproms and compared them with those in the MAME set to check they're not corrupt. I had to replace one EPROM on the top side during this exercise which fixed a corrupted text problem (IC99).
Main issue: Background and text graphics are working, but the menu and bad guy sprites (there should be a face glaring at you while you arm wrestle) just do not appear at all. I am wondering if I poke around in the MAME code I could try and make the same thing happen and perhaps this would indicate where the problem might be?
I have a bit of a blog on ukvac forum about it if anyone wants to delve deep.
